Utilize Blender to establish 2D/2.5D and 3D scene environments, set up camera angles and movements, and manage scene depth.
Employ Grease Pencil extensively within Blender to draw character and prop placement, background elements, and crucial scene details directly within the 3D space.
Create detailed background keys, overlays, and underlays that define the environment and support character action.
Ensure accurate perspective, staging, and composition for every shot, maintaining consistency with the film's visual style.
Collaborate with the animation team to provide clear pose breakdowns and staging information for key animation.
Prepare scenes for animation by organizing layers, naming conventions, and exporting necessary assets.
Address feedback from the Director efficiently and iteratively.
Maintain a high level of quality and adherence to production deadlines for the proof of concept phase.
Proactively contribute to the development of efficient 2D layout workflows within Blender and Grease Pencil, this may include researching and testing new techniques or tools to optimize our pipeline.
